Import your data from another provider

Moving to a new booking platform doesn't have to mean starting from scratch. Bookedin can import your existing data so you can pick up right where you left off.

What we can import

Bookedin can import the following data from your existing software:

  • Client list — names, contact details, and notes
  • Bookings — dates, client info, booking details, etc.
  • Staff members — names and email addresses
  • Calendars — your existing calendar structure
  • Services — your service names, descriptions, durations, and pricing
  • Classes and workshops — class names, descriptions, durations, and pricing
  • Booking history — client notes and visit history

How the import works

  1. Export your data from your current software. (See the provider-specific guides below for exact steps.)
  2. Email your exported files to support@bookedin.com.
  3. Our team handles the import for you. You'll hear back within approximately 1–2 business days.

Note: Send your email from the address associated with your Bookedin account so our team can match it to the right account.

While you wait: pause online booking & reminders

While your import is being processed, you'll need to prevent new online bookings from coming in until everything is set up. Also disable reminders temporarily to avoid the chance of your clients receiving duplicates from both systems.

  1. Sign in to your Bookedin business account (web, iPhone, or Android).
  2. Go to Settings > Calendars.
  3. Select Edit on each calendar.
  4. Turn off Available for online booking / Visible to the public. This makes the calendar private so no online bookings are allowed.
  5. Select Save then repeat for each calendar in your account.

  6. Go to Settings > Email/Text reminders and uncheck all boxes to disable reminders.
  7. Hit Save
  8. Go to Settings > Follow up emails and uncheck the box to disable.
  9. Hit Save

Go live when you're ready

Once your import is complete and your account is set up, flip your calendars back to public so clients can start booking online. Also turn your reminders back on.

  1. Sign in to your Bookedin business account (web, iPhone, or Android).
  2. Go to Settings > Calendars.
  3. Select Edit on each calendar.
  4. Turn back on Available for online booking / Visible to the public.
  5. Hit Save then repeat for each calendar in your account.
  6. Go to Settings > Email/Text reminders and turn your reminders back on, then hit Save.
  7. Go to Settings > Follow up emails and turn your follow-up emails back on, then hit Save.

You're done — your Online Booking Page is live and ready to take bookings and you can start promoting it to the world.
