Switch to Bookedin from GlossGenius
Leaving GlossGenius? We'll make the move as smooth as possible. Here's exactly what to pull out and how to send it over.
What you'll need
- An active Bookedin account. Don't have one yet? Start your free trial.
- Access to your GlossGenius account (owner or admin level).
- Your export files ready to send.
Follow these steps
Step 1: Export your client list from GlossGenius
- Go to the GlossGenius desktop app.
- Click Clients in the left menu.
- Click Export in the top-right corner.
- Save the downloaded file to your device.
Step 2: Export your booking history from GlossGenius
GlossGenius doesn't offer a file export for bookings. Instead, send our team your GlossGenius calendar sync link and we'll use it to pull your booking data.
- In GlossGenius, go to your calendar sync settings:
- Mobile app: Tap Settings > My Preferences > Two-Way Calendar Sync.
- Web browser: Click Settings > Personal > My Preferences.
- In the Sync to Another Calendar section, tap or click Copy Calendar Link.
- Paste this link into the email you send to Bookedin (see Step 5).
Step 3: Export your services from GlossGenius
GlossGenius doesn't have a self-serve export for services. Include your GlossGenius booking page URL in the email you send to Bookedin (see Step 5) and our team will pull your service information from there.
Step 4: Export your staff members from GlossGenius
GlossGenius doesn't have a bulk export for staff members. Instead, include the following information for each team member directly in the email you send to Bookedin (see Step 5):
- Full name
- Email address
Step 5: Send your files to Bookedin
Email your exported files to support@bookedin.com from the email address associated with your Bookedin account. Include your GlossGenius booking page URL, your calendar sync link, and any staff member details in the body of the email.
Our team will take it from there and follow up within approximately 1–2 business days if they have any questions.
Tip: While you wait, set your calendars to private so no new online bookings come in during the transition. Also disable reminders and follow-up emails to avoid clients receiving duplicates. See Import your data from another provider for step-by-step instructions.
You're all set. Once you hear back from our team confirming the import is complete, you can go live and start taking bookings.
