If some of your clients are not receiving text message (SMS) reminders for their appointments, please check the following:
- Ensure client's phone number is tagged "Mobile"
Follow these steps to ensure the client phone # is tagged as "mobile". Tagging a phone number as "mobile" activates text reminders for the specific client. This works for either "primary phone" or "alternate phone". If no number is tagged as "mobile", no texts will get sent to that client.
- Check phone number for typos
It happens to the best of us! You or your client or your team might have typed in the phone number wrong. Go to "Clients" section, then check all phone numbers listed for the client who is having the issue.
- Ask client if they opted-out
Your client may have accidentally opted out of receiving text message reminders from BookedIN.
STOP, STOP ALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT - If the client replies to a text message with any of these words, they will no longer receive any text messages from BookedIN.
START, YES and UNSTOP - If the client wants to opt back in to BookedIN text reminders, they can simply reply using any of these words. This will opt them back in to BookedIN text message reminders. If they deleted the original text reminder, they can compose a new message to the following number to resubscribe:1 415-854-0587 (USA)1 647-360-5710 (CAN)
- Verify your clients location
At this time cross-border text message reminders are not available on BookedIN. For example, if you're located in Canada and your client has a USA-based phone number, the text reminder cannot be delivered. Cross-border clients will only receive the email confirmations & reminders.
