Thank You Client Emails

A Thank You Email is an automatic email that Bookedin sends to your client one hour after their appointment, class, or workshop ends. It's a no-effort way to show you appreciate them, and a chance to drop in a Google review link, a coupon code, or a note about their next visit.

How to turn on the Thank You Email feature

  1. Log in to your Bookedin account on the web at scheduler.bookedin.com (note: this one-time setup must be performed on the website, not the mobile app).
  2. In the top menu, click Settings > Follow Up Emails.

  3. Under the Client Thank You Emails section, check the box labeled Send a thank you email after the appointment or class is finished. This turns on the automatic Thank You Emails. Note: This is a Pro plan feature.

  4. Now you can simply hit Save Changes, and the system will begin sending your clients the Thank You Emails automatically. Here's a sample:

How to customize your Thank You emails

Now you've also got the option to add a custom message.

  1. Under Add Custom message to all thank you emails, pick either:
    • Same message for all appointments and classes/workshops: the same custom message gets sent to every client.
    • Unique message for each service or class/workshop: write a different message for each one. Pick a service from the dropdown, then write its message.
  2. Write your custom message in the text editor. Use the toolbar to bold text, add a link, and more. You can include anything useful — a Google review link, a coupon code, or aftercare instructions for a tattoo. Ex: "Thanks for coming in. Here's 10% off your next visit: WELCOME10." 
    Tip: Keep it short with one clear ask. A single link or code gets more clicks than a wall of text.

  3. Click Send Test Email at any time to send yourself a preview and see a sample of what your client will get.

  4. Click Save Changes.
  5. If you'd rather send a unique message for each service or class/workshop, pick the next service from the dropdown, write its message, and click Save Changes — then repeat for each one. Note: you can leave any of them blank too. In that case the client will simply receive the standard thank you email without custom messaging.

You're done! From now on, every client gets your thank-you email one hour after their booking wraps up.
