Service Hours: Control When Services Are Available
Service Hours let you decide exactly which days and times a service can be booked — independently of your regular weekly calendar hours. It's a simple way to bring more order to your week.
Why Use Service Hours?
Running every service at any time can make your week feel scattered. Service Hours let you batch similar work together, protect your best hours, and fill slow spots — all on your terms.
A few examples of how businesses use this:
- 🌅 Daylight-dependent services: Only offer outdoor fitness classes or photo shoots in the morning when the light is right.
- 💬 Free consultations: Limit them to a couple of days a month so they don't eat into your paid work.
- 🏷️ Slow-day specials: Offer a discounted or introductory service only on your quietest days to fill gaps in your schedule.
The possibilities are wide open! Any service that works better at a specific time of day or week is a good candidate.
How to Set It Up
⚠️ Service Hours are configured in the Bookedin web app only — this setting is not something you can adjust in the mobile app.
- Log in to Bookedin web at scheduler.bookedin.com
- Go to Settings > Services
- Click on a service to edit it
- On the edit screen, scroll down and click Service Hours
- For each day of the week, choose one of three options:
| Options | What it means |
|---|---|
| Available during calendar hours | The service follows your regular business hours for that day (this is the default setting). |
| Custom | You set specific start and end times for that day (you can add multiple time slots). |
| Unavailable | The service can't be booked on that day of the week at all. |
- Click Save when you're done
Tips
- You can mix and match options by day — for example, set custom hours Monday through Wednesday and mark the rest as unavailable.
- Use add time slot to offer a service in split shifts, like mornings only or evenings only.
- Changes take effect immediately — clients won't be able to book outside the hours you've set.
