How to turn on booking requests

Instead of online booking, you can switch to a booking request form. This lets your clients simply fill in a form and send you an email as opposed to choosing a time/date on the calendar.

To set this up, you'll need to make all of your calendars and services "private". Here's how:

  1. Log in to your Bookedin business account (webiPhoneAndroid)
  2. Go to Settings > Calendars > tap the calendar name to edit.
  3. Turn off the Visible to the public setting or uncheck the Available for online booking checkbox in the web version.
  4. Click Done to confirm the changes and then repeat the steps for all calendars.
  5. Go to Settings > Services > tap the service name to edit.
  6. Turn off the Visible to the public setting or uncheck the Available for online booking checkbox in the web version.
  7. Click Done to confirm the changes. Then repeat the steps for all services.
  8. That's it! Now check what it looks like for your clients, go to Settings > Online booking page and click the link to view your page. Now clients will see a Request an appointment form.
  9. Whenever someone fills in this form, you'll get alerted via email.
  10. Now review the info and manually book the appointment into your Bookedin calendar.
  11. This final step ensures you have full control over approving who gets booked or not. Once manually booked into your calendar, the client receives a notification, keeping them informed and ensuring a smooth booking experience.
