How to turn on booking requests
Instead of online booking, you can switch to a booking request form. This lets your clients simply fill in a form and send you an email as opposed to choosing a time/date on the calendar.
To set this up, you'll need to make all of your calendars and services "private". Here's how:
- Log in to your Bookedin business account (web, iPhone, Android)
- Go to Settings > Calendars > tap the calendar name to edit.
- Turn off the Visible to the public setting or uncheck the Available for online booking checkbox in the web version.
- Click Done to confirm the changes and then repeat the steps for all calendars.
- Go to Settings > Services > tap the service name to edit.
- Turn off the Visible to the public setting or uncheck the Available for online booking checkbox in the web version.
- Click Done to confirm the changes. Then repeat the steps for all services.
- That's it! Now check what it looks like for your clients, go to Settings > Online booking page and click the link to view your page. Now clients will see a Request an appointment form.
- Whenever someone fills in this form, you'll get alerted via email.
- Now review the info and manually book the appointment into your Bookedin calendar.
- This final step ensures you have full control over approving who gets booked or not. Once manually booked into your calendar, the client receives a notification, keeping them informed and ensuring a smooth booking experience.
