Appointment Cancelation Policy
In the Days Prior Client Appointment Reminder email & text messages sent to your clients, by default there is an option for them to cancel.
You can disable this, or customize the cancellation policy by extending or shortening the cut-off time. Here's how:
- Log in to your Bookedin web account here: https://scheduler.bookedin.com (this setting is not accessible via mobile app)
- In the top menu, go to Settings > Email/Text Reminders
- Find the Cancelation Policy section
- Check or un-check the setting Allow clients to cancel via text/email up to ____ hours before appointment time
- Modify the hours box—ex, 12 hours, 24 hours, 72 hours, etc.
- Double-check the Days Prior Client Appointment Reminder setting above to ensure the cut-off time is within the timeframe for receiving the message. Ex if the reminder is sent 3 days prior, your cancellation policy should be 48 hours or less. This gives the Bookedin system time to send the message, as well as gives your client time to respond.
